For better rest, you should take a seat in the middle row, at the side. That way you can persuade people to leave via the other side...

Will keep that in mind for the return flight, but choices were VERY limited (10 seats or so available). I'm now on the second chair, so hopefully I'll be able to see something hanging over my neighbor.

What's there to see but clouds, clouds and some more of them clouds? A bit during take off and landing, perhaps, but that leaves 9 hours of clouds ;)
I always enjoy take off and landing, and 9 hours of sleep against a window instead of a neighbor.
